The Oregon Department of Education has released school and district report cards for 2017. The Oregonian’s report is here and Chapman-specific results are available here.
Some highlights:
- Chapman student participation rates for state testing in all grades was less than 94.5%. According to the ODE, participation rates below that number can lower a school’s overall rating.
- Absenteeism rates were also higher than the state average in Kindergarten and Fourth grade, and especially among low-income students.
- Chapman serves a diverse population. There are 25 languages spoken among our students, 27% are economically disadvantaged and 10% of our students learn with disabilities.
