To help make this event a success, day-of volunteers are needed and appreciated! Sign up for a shift here:

1. Is this event open to the public?
No, this is a private Chapman community event open to families & staff at Chapman.

2. Are strollers allowed?
No strollers on the course please. We want to minimize congestion and provide a safe route for everyone.

3. Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are not allowed on the course. They are allowed in the park but must be on leash. There is an off-leash dog park in Wallace Park.

4. Is the race timed?
No. This is a fun run. We will have a race clock so you can time yourself.

5. Where can I park?
Parking will be limited. Please respect the neighbors and others who will be at Wallace park for sports or other activities. We strongly encourage you to walk if you are close to the park. Consider it a warm up for your running legs!

6. What is the Family Mile?
There will be two mile events: competitive and family. Competitive is for anyone who plans to complete it under 7 minute pace. Family is open to all levels, and everyone is welcome to participate!

7. What is the 4x400m relay?
A 4 x 400m relay is a mile race with teams of 4 runners who each complete one 400 meter lap. You can sign up as a team of 4, or part of a team or an individual and you will be placed on a team on race day.

8. Does everyone race at once?
For the 400m and kids’ dash, we will have multiple heats based on grade levels.
