Friends of Chapman is proud to announce that we have received another large grant for the playground project. A Metro Central Community Enhancement Grant for $25,000 brings us to a total of approximately $75,000 for the playground raised to date.
Trish Murley, foundation grant writer reports that we may consider splitting the construction of the playground into two parts. “Phasing will allow us to begin construction on Phase 1, a cost of approximately $100,000, this coming summer and have a portion of the playground ready for Fall 2018… though we will continue to seek out funding for the entire playground, with the perfect scenario being a build-out of the whole playground this coming summer.
