Raise money for Chapman by eating food from pre-set neighborhood restaurants. Dine with friends and family, order take out, and spread the word. Restaurants will donate a portion of their day’s proceeds back to Chapman. Let’s eat!
Participating Restaurants in September
ALL OF SEPTEMBER: Vaux
The newly launched restaurant Vaux (pronounced vawks) at the Canopy Portland Pearl District will celebrate the return of its namesake Vaux’s Swifts to Chapman Elementary. To celebrate this special Portland phenomenon, Vaux will offer a flight of chef Sara Woods famous grilled cheese sandwiches, a perfect after school snack for back to school. For adult counterparts, Vaux will offer a wine flight. 20% of proceeds from each flight will go toward Chapman Elementary. Visit anytime during the month of September to try the grilled cheese flight and wine flight, and be entered into a raffle with big prizes.
Monday 9/16 – San Sai Japanese Grill
A long standing local sushi and Japanese grill hot spot that doesn’t break the bank. Rice bowls, noodle dishes, sushi, salads, meat and seafood plates, and more. Great kid friendly options (my picky kids love it), happy hour, and speedy service. It’s San Sai’s first time participating; let’s give them an extra special Chapman welcome and represent. Back 2 School night is the following day so order take out a day early to make life run more smoothly.
Tuesday 9/24 – Ruby Jewel Ice Cream Shop
Fun and whimsical space serving ice cream sandwiches, ice cream scoops, and sundaes. Easy quick walk from Chapman. Gift cards from here are a great birthday present or surprise staff with some ice cream sandwiches in the staff freezer.
