We are trying to bring Girls on the Run (GOTR) back to Chapman but we need YOUR help! We are looking for a Site Liaison for Chapman.
GOTR is a non-profit organization who believes that every girl has limitless potential. GOTR of Portland Metro operates in approximately 100 sites throughout Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Clark counties, reaching more than 1200 girls in the 3rd through 8th grades. Two times per week, for ten weeks in the spring, our GOTR coaches inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. GOTR is a physical activity-based positive youth development (PYD) program that is designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological and physical skills and behaviors to successfully navigate life experiences.
The Site Liaison’s responsibilities include working in collaboration with Girls on the Run staff to determine practice days, times, and locations as well as to inspire enthusiasm for the program and recruit Coaches and Girls in 3rd-5th grade to participate. A Site Liaison is typically a caregiver, teacher, or other community member who volunteers their time, effort, and “sparkle” prior to the beginning of the season to coordinate the logistics of hosting a team from early March to mid May 2020.
