Oregon Battle of the Books  (OBOB) is coming virtually to Chapman this year. OBOB is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries, OASL. Students in 3rd-12th grade, regardless of ability, are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints. The mission is to encourage reading among students.

This year Chapman OBOB participants in grades 3-5 will take part in virtual team meetings and a virtual school-wide competition. All regional and state competitions, usually held in March, have been canceled this year. If your child is interested please fill out a Permission Slip. Grade level meetings began 10/7, and are off to a greta start. It is not too late for your child join in on the reading fun. We have extended the permission slip deadline to 11/6.
