Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits are part of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and are additional funds that can be used to support family food purchases. P-EBT benefits were approved for Oregon in May for the 2020-21 school year. P-EBT benefits issuance began at the end of July and will continue to be distributed into August and September for all families enrolled in a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school or with individual family eligibility for free or reduced price meals in the 2020-21 school year.

ALL Chapman students are eligible for the P-EBT benefits. This is due to the number of free or reduced meals served at our school. Currently, Oregon is providing $1500 on the card per student to use towards groceries.

You should have received a card in the mail by August 15th. If you did not receive a card or need a replacement card, you can call 503-945-6481 and email ebt.schoolmeals@dhsoha.state..or.us. There is a waitlist, but they should respond to you within three days.

Note: This money is not transferrable or usable for anything else, so if your family feels they do not need the support, you can use it to buy school snacks or donate food to food pantries. The card may be used at grocery stores or for grocery items bought at stores like Target or Amazon.
