The PTA is inviting all Chapman students and their grown up(s) to STEAM Night, April 27th from 5-8pm. What is STEAM? Well, it stands for Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math. Here is the line up for the evening:
- Learn about and see some real live animals with the Oregon Reptile Man (shows start at 5:30pm & 6:30pm)
- Try your hand and some brain teasers, puzzles and interactive hands-on activities from OMSI
- Check out a real Robot and learn about engineering from the Lincoln Robotics team
- Discuss and learn about weather science with Meteorologist Chris McGinness from the KGW Weather team
- Try out some medical equipment and talk to real healthcare workers from Metro Pediatrics (and some of our own Chapman moms!)
- Come do some Science activities with STEM Like a Girl
- Spice up your creative juices with an Art activity
It’s going to be out of the world Scientastic!
* Due to the nature of this event, guardians MUST accompany their student(s) at ALL TIMES. Teachers will NOT be at the school during this event, so parental supervision is mandatory.
