Curious about lacrosse?  Want to try out one of the fastest growing sports the word?
US Lacrosse is hosting a Try Lax clinic for all new players or curious kids ages 6-12 years old, this Saturday, March 9 from 12:30-2pm at Wilsonville High School.
Registration is still open and the cost is only $35.  This fee includes a stick, a ball and a t-shirt – a great value for a starter package!
(The only other equipment girls need is a mouthguard and goggles – both available for a reasonable price at Dick’s Sporting Goods or online.
The boys need a little bit more – information on that coming soon.  For more information or to register, go to https://www.uslacrosse.org/events/trylax, and scroll down until you see the Wilsonville, Oregon link.

Want more for our students? Let lawmakers know by joining March for Students on Feb 18!

From the Organizers:
Schools across Oregon need dedicated and adequate funding now. Our students deserve better than this:
1. 6 more students per classroom than the national average.
2. 1 year less of instructional time than the national average when you count hours in grades 1-12.
3. a below-average graduation rate of 73.8%

Education funding will be one of the Oregon legislature’s top priorities this spring. Just this week, the Joint Committee for Student Success released a detailed report of their policy recommendations which come with a $3.5 billion price tag. While there is a Democratic super-majority in our legislature, the major revenue reform required to secure the funding our education system needs will not be a slam-dunk. Uniting the voices of families who support public education will be essential in the push for transformative change.
