Chapman has loads of different ways to volunteer. Whether you’re looking for a short commitment during school hours, a weekly commitment, a one time weekend work party, or even something that can be done at home in the evenings, there is something for you!

VOLUNTEERING IN 2021-2022

UPDATE (9/3/21): The background check system is not currently taking new applications as they have to update the system. We will let you know when it is up and running again.

Volunteers must have a current volunteer application and background check, provide the school with proof of vaccination, and check in at the front door. To be a volunteer, please complete these steps:

  1. Fill out the PPS volunteer application and background check: District Volunteer Application.
  2. Read through this doc to learn all about how to volunteer at Chapman.

Once you’ve completed the steps above, see the possible volunteer opportunities below. You can also contact your child’s teacher to see if they would like any volunteers. Don’t see something that fits your needs? Please contact Molly Porter.

Current 2021-22 Opportunities

First days of School Greeters | The first day of school is almost here! Before school each grade level will be lining up in a separate spot on the Chapman campus and we anticipate that students will need help finding their line up spot. Volunteers are needed to help provide guidance and direction during the first 3 days of school. Meet at the 7:45 at the Chapman steps to receive a map and an assignment. Thank you so much for helping to make the first few days of school run smoothly for our kiddos! Questions, contact Molly Porter. SIGN UP HERE.

Lunch Volunteer | 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Help the teachers and staff with outdoor lunch prep, function, and clean-up. The school is currently only asking a few volunteers to help out at lunch. Click here to request to be an Outdoor Lunch Volunteer.

Room Parent | Room parent is a role that can be filled mostly from the comfort of your couch in your comfy pants. For each class, the room parent can help facilitate finding chaperones, fulfill snack needs, organize teacher gifts, and communicate specific needs of your student’s class. Questions, contact your teacher and/or Angel Stech.

PTA | We are always looking for more parent participation and engagement in the PTA. There are endless opportunities that can work for all kinds of families. Seen the list of open positions here and contact Angel Stech.
